Q. What is a "SHORT KIT" ?
Ans. A "Short Kit" is laser cut parts only. The laser cut parts are typically Formers, Ribs and Doublers. Usually at LCKA, we try and extract as much as possible from the plans to make the building process as easy as possible.
Q. Do you supply Full Wood Kit" ?
Ans. In the past we have supplied Full Wood Kits. Unfortunately we have chosen to suspend this choice in the best interest of the company. We have though taken the initiate of partnering up with Balsacentral.com, an Australian company based in Adelaide that supplies high quality grades of Balsa. When purchasing a kit through LCKA, you'll receive a 10% discount through their website.
Q. Do you charge for CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) work ?
Ans. Not normally, if its a kit we can continue to sell through the LCKA website we won't charge you for the CAD work.
Q. Can I get a kit cut from a set of plans I already own and not listed on LCKA's website ?
Ans. Absolutely, but you'll need to mail them to us for the work to be done.
Q. Can I provide my own CAD drawings to LCKA?
Ans. Yes you can. We do specify CAD guidelines on the website from the Home page.
Q. Can I buy moulded accessories for my kit through LCKA ?
Ans. We can purchase these accessories on your behalf and include them with your kit. A delay maybe experienced shipping out your kit as most accessories are ordered from overseas. We don't hold any accessories in stock.
Q. Can you copy plans?
Ans. No we can't sorry. Most plans are under copywright which prevents us from duplicating them.
Q. Do you ship overseas ?
Ans. We sure do. Please email us for a quote on shipping.
Q. How long does it typically take to ship my kit out ?
Ans. A new Short Kit from scratch usually takes 2 weeks, if its something we've done before is about 1 week. If your ordering a Wood Kit, your looking at about 3 to 4 weeks.
Q. Can I pick up locally ?
Ans. Yes, by arrangement only.
